CEXC 427 - AMBOSELI WILDERNESS
TRAIL(3 DAYS)
DAY 1 NAIROBI
- AMBOSELI
Pick up from the hotel and then depart from Nairobi
at 9.30 am. Drive south through maasai country via Namanga
Kenya/ Tanzania border and onto Amboseli for lunch. On arrival
proceed for a short game drive which provides a chance to
see many animals with Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest
peak) providing a beautiful backdrop, dinner and overnight
at the campsite.
DAY 2 AMBOSELI
At 6 am proceed for an early morning pre- breakfast
game drive, return to the accommodation for breakfast. After
breakfast proceed for a further game drive. After lunch proceed
for your last game drive returning to your accommodation in
time for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 AMBOSELI-
NAIROBI
After breakfast leave for the last game drive then
proceed to Nairobi, lunch is served en route arrive Nairobi
in the afternoon.
CEXC 433 - MIGRATION SAFARI
DAY 1 NAIROBI
-MAASAI MARA
We pick you up from your hotel then depart from Nairobi
at 9.30 am. Drive south along the floor of Rift Valley. Lunch
at Narok and then climb the western wall of Rift Valley entering
Hemingway’s country (Serengeti plains). Arrive late
afternoon for a short game drive. Dinner and overnight are
at the Campsite.
DAY 2 MAASAI MARA
Full day is spent in game viewing;
this includes going up-to the Mara River where the immigration
of millions of wild beast and zebras crossing Mara River are
seen annually. Dinner and overnight are at Campsite.
DAY 3 MAASAI
MARA
Pre- breakfast game drive starts at 6.30 am. Another
game drive follows before lunch. After lunch you can either
go for another game. Go to the Maasai village or do a nature
walk with the Maasai guides (optional) this cost extra.
DAY 4 MAASAI
MARA - NAIROBI
After breakfast, depart from Nairobi, enjoy a picnic
lunch en-route arriving in the capital city of Kenya in the
evening.
CEXC 444 - CAMPING EXPEDITIONS
AROUND MOUNT KENYA
DAY 1: NAIROBI
Early start driving north through sisal, pineapple
and coffee plantations for Samburu Game Reserve lunch is taken
en-route. Afternoon game drive to flash out the animals that
are to be found in this game sanctuary then back to the campsite
for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: SAMBURU
A pre-breakfast, mid-morning and
afternoon game drive occupies most of the day as we search
for the elusive leopard, the majestic african lion and the
rare gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, oryx and
other plains game. All meals and overnight at our campsite.
DAY 3: SAMBURU
- MOUNT KENYA
Leave Samburu in the morning for Mount Kenya to spend
most of the day trekking on the slopes of the mountain and
investigating the famous Mau Mau caves. All meals and overnight
at Mountain Rock bandas or Tents.
DAY 4: MOUNT
KENYA - BARINGO
After a pre-breakfast game drive we go back to the
permanent tented camp for breakfast and afterwards continue
out of the sanctuary for the Great Rift Valley. The afternoon
is spent watching bird life at Lake Baringo, a veritable bird
watchers paradise. Dinner and overnight at the campsite in
Baringo.
DAY 4: BARINGO - NAIVASHA
Leave Lake Baringo after breakfast
and proceed through the Bogoria Hot Springs to Lake Nakuru
National Park for the game viewing and lunch at Lake Nakuru
Lodge. In the mid afternoon proceed to Lake Naivasha for an
overnight stay at Fish Eagle Inn on the shores of the lake.
DAY 5: NAIVASHA
- NAIROBI
After spending the morning investigating and bird
watching on Crescent Island or biking to the famous Hell's
Gate or just relaxing by the pool we leave these serene surroundings
in the mid afternoon for the city of Nairobi, just an hours'
drive away.
