A land of renown and of diverse attractions, Kenya has over
the centuries continued to entice travelers. A vast land covering
over half a million square kilometers this East African country
drew the attention of such nations as Portugal, Britain, Oman,
and even India and the early trading empire of the Phoenicians
as discerned from their maps. These nations fought over the
Kenyan island of Mombasa, constantly forcing the one or the
other away.
Today the attractions of the country is shared without fighting
and most of the visitors are drawn to the beautiful parks,
the endless and untouched beaches facing the Indian Ocean,
the wonder of the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest
in July/August, the challenge of conquering the snow peaked
Mount Kenya.
